If someone misses their deadline then instead of getting skipped they get the lowest numbered guy who's still available -- just like how the game works if you don't put in your list of players.

D. Draft by similar rules as the original draft. 30 hour time limit. If you miss your pick or don't fix an error within your 30 hours, you the lowest numbered guy still available.
Normally I wouldn't make a change in the middle of a vote, but I think this is a much better idea. If anyone objects, do it quickly. If no one objects I'll update the vote.
We probably need to determine a cutoff date so that people know after which point they need to set all their preferences themselves rather than wait in hope that the live draft will get around to their pick (especially if option C wins and there's no way of controlling or predicting how long the live draft takes). I would propose perhaps the time the site shuts down for games on Day 3 of the Finals, which would leave at least 72 hours until the draft.
Since this vote has started after the beginning of the playoffs, what happens if someone who did not make the playoffs has already set their draft preferences (since they assumed this draft would be run under the normal SG rules this season) and doesn't plan to check back in until the end of the playoffs? If they have a high pick would that not throw all the lower picks off? Should they have to give up the guy they drafted because they did not know of this change? Possibly a wee bit harsh. If this was organised before the playoffs began and everyone knew it would be a live draft it might be different. Now if all the first teams picking want to indicate who they are taking that's fine, but I think there'll be too much hassle if you then start skipping people.
I would need to see some cases of owners who don't check in at all during the playoffs. I only see two possible cases:
Vancouver has not checked in since the 11th and Smithfield since the 19th - so we can try to contact both owners - but I think to derail a great idea over two absentee owners may be a bit much.
